Frankie Romano is a PhD student in the English department. Her research interests include 19th and 20th century American literature, queer and gender studies, and comics studies. She received her Masters degree in English in 2016 from Queens College, CUNY, and her thesis, “The Matter of the Text: Queerness, Identity, and Proximity in Alison Bechdel’s Fun Home,” won the college's 2016 graduate writing prize.
