Bio

Aaron Castillo is a PhD student in Cultural Studies. His research brings together food studies, the history of science, and feminist science and technology studies to understand the military origins of sensory science, how these militarized legacies shaped the field, and understanding the connection between sensory science, industrialized food manufacturing, and the state of the food system today. He received his BA in Food and Identity from Brown University and an MSc in the Psychology and Physiology of Food Choice from L’Institut Agro Dijon.
