She/Her
Bio

Rose Bern (she/her) is a third year social psychology Ph.D. student in the Eastwick Attraction and Relationships Lab. Her work lies at the intersection of community psychology, queer theory, and intersectional feminist sexuality studies. She aims to interrogate hegemonic heteronormative (i.e., the belief that heterosexuality is the only natural sexual orientation) and mononormative (i.e., the belief that romance and sex should only exist within a monogamous partnership) frameworks by partnering with LGBT+ and consensually nonmonogamous communities. Ultimately, she strives to do community-based work that centers the voices of these communities within psychology.
